10 Awards Set to Highlight Creative and Useful Products at 2016 AHR Expo
The annual International Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigerating (AHR) Expo has recently called for entries to be considered for the 2016 AHR Expo Innovation Awards, which will take place in January at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.
The awards honor the most inventive and original products, systems, and technologies in the categories of building automation, cooling, green building, heating, indoor air quality, plumbing, refrigeration, software, tools and instruments, and ventilation. Product of the Year is awarded from among the category winners as a way to recognize an exceptional level of leadership in the HVACR industry.
“With so much focus on performance and energy efficiency in today’s competitive HVACR landscape, it is important to recognize the companies whose products are pioneering advanced solutions,” says Clay Stevens, president of International Exposition Company. “We look at this year’s entries for products that show exceptional creativity, efficiency and utility. It’s a good chance to publicly recognize these companies for the great work that they do to positively impact the future of the industry.”
Past Innovation Awards winners have included many technologies that have truly changed their industries. For example, the winning product in the 2015 Green Building category went on to become a pioneer in oil-free, variable speed, magnetic bearing technology. This product, along with many other winners, has provided solutions that have had a huge impact in their respective fields.
Each 2016 AHR Expo exhibitor is eligible to enter the Innovation Awards by submitting one product in multiple categories, as long as the exhibitor hasn’t won an award in that category in the past. Products must be exhibited at the show and they must be available for sale by the end of January 2016 in order to be eligible. Once at the show, a panel of expert third-party judges will evaluate each entry based on its innovative design, creativity, application, value, and market impact.
