AxFlow introduces Wemco self priming pump to its product lineOctober 10, 2012
AxFlow, a UK based pump supplier is now selling the Wemco WSP self-priming pump to its current and potential clients in the water and wastewater markets.
According to a company press release, the pump is ideal for applications with a suction lift and where it is important to have easy access to the pump for quick repair and maintenance. The company points out that, this self-priming pump is lower cost and cheaper to maintain than other submersible or cantilever pumps.
“We have been selling other types of self-priming pumps but not to the same heavy duty specification of the Wemco WSP, said Mark Redgrove, Product Manager for AxFlow. “With this new pump, AxFlow can offer a competative self-priming pump to the water and wastewater market.”
The Wemco WSP pump is available in several different configurations and materials of construction. The impeller is available in both cast iron or CD4MCu. The wear plate is also made from cast iron and the casings are in ductile iron.
The pump is built to accommodate both clean and aggressive fluids with max solid size being 1.5 inches on the 2 inch pump and 3 inches on the 10 inch pump.
