Charli Matthews, the founder and president of Empowering Pumps, LLC, recently earned the coveted Award of Merit from the FSA. Empowering Pumps, LLC is known for providing regular and current information to the pump industry through its website, eNewsletters, and social media channels. By supplying the pump industry with up-to-date information, pump industry professionals are able to exchange ideas, news stories, product information, case studies, videos, event information, and more.

The Award of Merit was established to recognize distinguished and exceptional service of an individual member within the FSA. The award is granted based on merit and participation in activities that directly support the FSA’s mission.

Charli Matthews recently completed her term as Chair where she was a dedicated leader in the FSA Marketing Committee. She has effectively established, maintained, and grown the FSA’s social media presence during her time as Chair. Through her work, she demonstrated a passion and fundamental understanding of the social media process and was therefore able to develop a platform for the FSA to engage third parties that would otherwise never have had access to FSA.

Although developing FSA’s social media presence was a great accomplishment, Charli was also the driving force behind the development of FSA’s new website. She was able to expand the website’s content, making it a more valuable resource for professionals in the industry, as well as improving the website’s ease-of-use.

“Charli Matthews has been and continues to be an upbeat and influential contributing member of the FSA. Her participation has gone above and beyond what has been expected of any member,” says Mike Shorts, FSA President. “She will now begin a term as Vice Chair of the Membership Committee, and I look forward to seeing the results of her efforts there.”
