Grudfos Appoints Hasan Avci as Regional Director in Asia Pacific
Grundfos, a pump manufacturer and supplier, has appointed Hasan Avci to lead Grundfos’s strategy, commercial, and marketing functions throughout the Asia Pacific region. The company produces circulator pumps for heating and air-conditioning, centrifugal pumps, water supply, sewage, and dosing applications, and also represents 50% of the world’s market for circulators. Although the pump manufacturer supplies a wide variety of pumps worldwide, a large portion of Grundfos’s sales take place in Asia Pacific. Hasan Avci will have a pivotal role in ensuring Grundfos’s title as one of the world’s leading pump manufacturers.
Before accepting the position at Grundfos’s Asia Pacific headquarters in Singapore, Avci was director of sales and marketing for Turkey and the Middle East region. He has worked at Grundfos since 2003, giving him over a decade of experience with the pump supplier. The internal promotion gives Avci unique insight to the company’s business processes.
In his new role, Avci’s main responsibility will be to formulate organizational strategies for performance improvements throughout the Asia Pacific region. His responsibilities will include 20 countries: Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, India, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Bhutan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, South Korea, and Japan. In order to promote and improve the pump manufacturer’s products and services, Avci will also implement commercial processes, undertake strategic corporate planning, evaluate new business opportunities, and spearhead initiatives to promote business growth.
“My biggest priority is to sharpen team competencies in terms of people development, as well as sales and marketing process enhancements. We are leveraging on IT platforms to encourage the sharing of best practices and to foster a market-driven performance culture,” says Avci. “We are also stepping up efforts on sales excellence and customer engagement, so as to streamline the current options and broaden the turnkey services and solutions that are aligned to market needs.”
