Grundfos recently announced its patented concept for intelligent chemical feed, the Dosing Compact System, at the Association of Water Technologies (AWT) 2013 Convention and Exposition. AWT Convention and Exposition 2013 took place from October 30 to November 2 in Uncasville, Connecticut.

The Dosing Compact System uses Grundfo’s unique SMART Digital pumps, which are variable speed microprocessor controlled metering pumps, to control the safe feed of chemicals.

Proven Grundfos technology and common chemical feed skid accessories and components are included in the new system and packaged in a simplified design that increases usability and adds intelligent flow control. The system also features a new programmable logic-based dosing controller, a patented manifold design and an attractive, corrosion-free cabinet. With multiple options for the controllers and pumps, the system can be customized to fit any small or medium dosing application.

“While there are a variety of chemical feed system designs in the market, Grundfos’ Dosing Compact System stands out from the competition with improved chemical feed accuracy and simplified installations,” says Harland Pond, business development director. “Its unique manifold system and intelligent control options represent a major step forward in chemical feed technology.”

The Dosing Compact System concept exemplifies the innovative design Grundfos is well-known for. Other Grundfos products featured at the AWT Convention and Exposition included the Dosing Tank System, SMART Digital chemical feed pumps and Oxiperm Pro chlorine dioxide generation units.
