Hertz Rental buys a California-based pump rental companyJanuary 05, 2012
The Hertz Equipment Rental Corporation bought DW Pumps, a pump rental company in Northern California. DW specializes in industrial, municipal and construction pump solutions for customers on the West Coast.
“With the acquisition of DW Pumps, HERC continues its diversification strategy of expanding into specialty services and products for a broad range of equipment rental customers," said Mark P. Frissora, Hertz Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
Hertz projects that DW Pumps will generate about $6 million in new revenue for the company this year, and even more once the business is expanded throughout California. Headquartered in San Leandro, DW Pumps was founded in 2003. The company’s products include large submersible pumps, diesel auto priming and high pressure pumps, generators, auxiliary fuel tanks, electric transformers, and product accessories.
Hertz operates one of the world’s largest equipment rental businesses, offering a range of equipment and tools for rent. Hertz Equipment also offers custom programs and equipment through its specialty service groups; Industrial Plant Services, Pump and Power Services, Aerial Services and Government Services.
