HVAC Combination Variable Frequency Drives Introduced by Fuji Electric
Fuji Electric Corp. of America, known for pioneering innovative energy technologies, has announced the manufacture of its FRENIC-HVAC Combination Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) in the energy company’s new factory in Roanoke, Virginia. The new manufacturing process and location will reduce turnaround times and allow panels to be customized for each application. In addition, the new location will provide Fuji Electric with a stronger presence in the U.S. The complete series of products includes 208V, 460V, and 575V panels, and all of them are easy to install, start up, and troubleshoot.
“We’re excited to complete final assembly on our new FRENIC-HVAC Combination VFDs right here in our Virginia Factory,” says David Schrader, General Manager for Fuji Electric Corp. of America. “These panels are suitable for a variety of applications, and local production means we are able to remain agile and modify the product as needed to meet the evolving needs of our customers.”
The FRENIC-HVAC Combination VFDs include “As-Built” CAD drawings, which are ideal for a wide range of applications that include food processing and pump control. The VFDs are compatible with 22 or 30 millimeter HMI devices. The panels are UL-certified and allow for multiple convenient cable entry options. They also come standard with a 3-year warranty, which is unheard of in the industry.
The new 37,000 square foot engineering facility was opened in Roanoke, Virginia in 2015 so that Fuji Electric could focus on manufacturing its Variable Speed Drive Custom Panels, Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS), and Auxiliary Power Systems (APS) in a facility that caters to these products. The new facility will ensure that the energy company is able to expand its business in the U.S., which in turn will allow it to respond more quickly to market conditions and reduce lead times on product shipments.
