New High-Pressure Pump Series Introduced by KSB

KSB, a leading producer of pumps, valves, and other industry-specific products, has added another addition to its comprehensive pump range with the new compact, cost-effective Comeo type series of high-pressure pumps.

The new pumps are specially designed to operate under pressures of up to 10 bar. They can be used in a variety of applications that include water supply, small pressure booster systems, and light industrial applications. The high-pressure pump is an especially good choice for the water treatment industry because a stainless steel variant called the Comeo C is both ACS and WRAS approved for drinking water.

There are a number of features that set the Comeo series of high-pressure pumps apart from products offered by other pump manufacturers. The suction and discharge nozzles on the Comeo series are cast as a single piece in two choices. The Comeo C pump comes in stainless steel, while the Comeo G pump comes in grey cast iron. The pump sets are equipped with two, four, or six stages, depending on the required discharge pressure. A closed-coupled design is able to absorb external piping forces. All of the pumps in the series are suitable for installation in confined spaces.

Multiple options are available including a 230 V single-phase and 400 V three-phase current for close-coupled motors. Drive ratings range from 0.37 kW to 2.2 kW, and a 60-Hertz version is available for countries outside of Europe. Each Comeo pump can candle ambient temperatures of between 15 degrees Celsius and 55 degrees Celsius.

Mechanical seal elastomers are made of EPDM or NBR, while resin-impregnated carbon graphite is used for the primary and mating rings.

The Comeo pumps are suitable for industrial applications and offer a long service life because shafts, bearings, screwed connections, and standardized mechanical seals are generously dimensioned.
