New Pioneer Pump Facility Opens in Australia
Pioneer Pump, founded in 1998, designs and manufactures centrifugal and self-priming pumps. Cutting edge hydraulic engineering enables the company to offer highly efficient and reliable pump packages for a variety of industries around the world. The company recently opened a new 2000 square meter facility in Victoria, Australia, where it will manufacture, sell, and service diesel and electric driven pump packages.
“We recognize that mining industry experts in Australia have significant influence over the dewatering and pumping needs of mines worldwide,” says Paul Schlumpberger, Pioneer Pump Vice President. “Adding service and support in Australia positions us to address one of our key market segments where many of the decisions are made.”
The company has already experienced strong growth in the Southeast Asian mining market over the past two years. The new facility is well-positioned to support Pioneer Pump’s global expansion strategy. The Australian branch will serve all markets with initial specialization in mining and dewatering.
One of the regions leading pump suppliers, Brown Brothers Engineers, has distributed Pioneer Pumps to New Zealand, Australia, and the Pacific Rim for the past ten years and will continue to do so following the new facility opening.
