The Pedrollo Company, one of the world’s leading suppliers of electric water pumps, has developed the new series of Tritus submersible grinder pumps. The pumps were developed to cover the new requirements and demands in the modern marketplace. The grinder pumps are able to meet the needs of worldwide markets because they offer cutting-edge reliability, performance, and quality. The new Tritus series of pumps have been able to pass the toughest tests during their last months within Pedrollo labs.

As with all its other products, Pedrollo technicians have included all the latest enhancements in these new pumps that includes cataphoretic coating for cast iron components, double mechanical seals in the built-in oil chamber, and a stainless steel casted handle. Each Tritus submersible grinder pump is also equipped with a top-grade grinder in the suction inlet.

The top-grade grinders are made of AISI 440C high tempered stainless steel and can finely grind solid parts and fibers inside both drainage and sewage water. They also contain a pressure channel into the sewage system which uses small sections of pipe and prevents clogging risks. These unique features allow the Tritus series to offer high-hydraulic performance in the head, which makes the pumps suitable for both the domestic and residential markets.

For the time being, the new Tritus series of submersible grinder pumps are only available in a single phase as a TRm1.1 and 3-phase TR1.1 with P1 at 1.1 kW. However, the Tech Department at Pedrollo is committed to enlarging the range with additional pumps that operate at 1.5kW and 2.2kW. The single phase version of the pump contains a pre-set float switch for automatic operation, an external control box with manual overload reset, and two capacitors for torque point and running. The capacitors also ensure an efficient start-up.
