PSG Companies Display Chemicals Industry Pumps at KHIMIA 2013
Pump Solutions Group (PSG), part of Dover Corporation and a global leader of pumps, systems, and related technologies, will be exhibiting its pumps for the chemicals industry at the 17th biennial International Exhibition for the Chemical Science and Industry (KHIMIA) from Oct. 28-31 in Moscow, Russia. This year, an estimated 21,000 chemicals industry professionals will attend the show along with over 600 companies from 26 countries.
PSG companies Wilden, Almatec, Mouvex, and Blackmer will display their leading pump technologies at the show in Booth 23B62.
Wilden will showcase its new Pro-Flo SHIFT Air Distribution System (ADS), which is available for use in Wilden Advanced Series bolted and Original Series clamped air-operated double-diaphragm pumps (AODD). The ADS system allows Wilden pumps to save 60% in air consumption compared to competitive AODD technologies while providing more product yield per standard cubic foot per minute. Additionally, its robust design makes it ideal for use in harsh operating conditions, while ATEX compliance ensures its safety for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. Wilden will also display its Advanced Series AODD pumps, which feature bolted construction to ensure total product containment and maximum efficiency.
Almatec will also be at KHIMIA, featuring its E-Series Plastic AODD Pumps that are specifically constructed from CNC machined solid bloc PTFE or PE to handle and transfer dangerous chemicals, including acids, solvents, and caustics. E-Series pumps include an innovative stainless-steel containment ring rather than a mechanical seal or packing, eliminating a critical leak point by creating consistent high-torque compression all the way around the ring. Almatec’s E-Series also features a pulsation dampener that ensures a consistent flow rate with minimum pulsation and vibration and a barrier chamber system that prevents leakage.
Mouvex will feature its C-Series Eccentric Disc Pumps at the show, including its recently released SLC4 and SLC8 models. These seal-less pumps are designed to handle dangerous chemicals and do not use mechanical seals, magnets, or packing. C-Series pumps are able to maintain consistent flow rates over time due to this seal-less design, which also ensures total product containment. The ATEX-rated C-Series design also features self-priming and line-stripping capabilities; low shear rate; high vacuum and compression effect; reduced maintenance; and clean-in-place / sanitize-in-place capabilities.
Blackmer will be displaying its System One centrifugal pumps at the show, which are designed for high-volume, severe-duty applications. The System One stiff heavy-duty shaft and larger bearings result in the widest operational window of the Best Efficiency Point (BEP) than any standard process pump. This translates to improved mean time between failures and lower overall maintenance costs. Blackmer will also showcase its HD Series Reciprocating Gas Compressors for quiet, efficient transfer, boosting and recovery of a wide range of industrial gases. HD Series compressors are designed for high efficiency and maximum performance under even the harshest operating conditions.
