Pump Engineering System Perfect for Pastes and High Viscosity Products

In order to deal with viscous liquids, operators often revert to manual handling solutions, since some pumping systems have so many limitations. This can result in waste, but it can also pose serious health and safety risks.
A solution to this problem is the CSF piston pump from Pump Engineering. The pump is mounted in the center of a follower plate which fits easily into a drum, sealing against the side of the container. Two pneumatic cylinders force the plate to the top as the pump empties the drum. As the process progresses, the plate is drawn downwards, keeping the inlet of the pump full of the product. A rubber seal wipes the side of the drum clean as it travels downwards, ensuring that everything is well-sealed and very little product is wasted.
Multiple pump choices are available. A quick-strip version is available for easy cleaning without the need to use tools. A long version is available for emptying tanks, drums, and IBCs. This version is the perfect choice for lower viscosity liquids because the pump features a special bag-in drum inlet, preventing the plastic drum lining from being drawn into the pump.
All CSF piston pumps are air-operated and offer flow rates of up to 100 liters per minute with pressure ratios up to 20 to 1, depending on the model. The pumps are made of AISI 304 or 316 stainless steel with Viton, nitrile, or PTFE seals.
