Wilden surge dampeners prolong equipment lifeJuly 16, 2010
Saniflo HS Surge Dampeners are designed to handle the demanding solids usually found in sanitary industries. They are also approved for use in explosive environments.
The dampeners use a liquid chamber designed for delicate product handling, drainability and diaphragm life. They make a perfect match to Saniflo HS pump applications. The surge dampeners self-adjust to fluctuating inlet pressures and a low volume of compressed air to dampen the pulsation of a sanitary pump -- making the dampeners flexible, versatile and user-friendly for a variety of processes.
They feature a metal regulator body available in nickel-plated aluminum and stainless steel. The dampeners use existing Wilden air chambers, clamp bands and hardware to simplify maintenance. All standard sanitary Wilden diaphragm options are available.
The Saniflo Hygienic Series Surge Dampeners possess the ability to handle up to 76 mm (3”) compressible solids and are available in three sizes, 38 mm (1-1/2”), 51 mm (2”) and 76 mm (3”). With a maximum operating pressure of 8.6 bar (125 psig), they meet FDA, EHEDG, ATEX, and USP Class VI standards when configured with PTFE integral piston diaphragms.
