Wilden is the global leader in air-operated double-diaphragm (AODD) pump technology and a part of the PSGDover group. Earlier this month, the company premiered its new Pro-Flo SHIFT Air Distribution System (ADS) for use in Advanced Series bolted and Original Series clamped AODD pumps. The system is designed to address the growing demand for energy efficient solutions in manufacturing plants and in other industrial applications. Wilden’s new ADS is significantly more efficient than any other AODD pump technology on the market, enabling the company’s AODD pumps to achieve up to a 60% savings in air consumption while providing more product yield per standard cubic feet per minute (SCFM).

“The Pro-Flo SHIFT represents a giant leap forward in the energy efficiency and performance of AODD pumps. The simple design of the ADS doesn’t require any additional bolted-on equipment or bulky electronics, allowing operators to keep the same compact footprint,” says Chris Distaso, Director of Engineering for Wilden.

Product Specs:

  • 38 mm (1-1/2”), 51 mm (2”), and 76 mm (3”) sizes
  • Maximum discharge pressures to 8.6 bar (125 psig)
  • Maximum flows to 923 lpm (243 gpm)
  • Maximum solid-handling size to 13 mm (1/2”)
  • Maximum suction lifts to 7.2 m (23.8’) dry and 9.6 m (30.6’) wet.

The Wilden Pro-Flo SHIFT offers several advantages over competitor products, including fewer operating parts and a zero-electronics design, which translates to simple maintenance, less downtime, energy efficiency, and overall cost 50% lower than electronically actuated ADS. The Pro-Flo SHIFT is also submersible and features plug-and-play operation. Its robust design makes it ideal for use in harsh environments and includes ATEX compliance for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
