Wilden, part of Dover Corporation’s Pump Solutions Group (PSG) is a worldwide leader in air-operated double-diaphragm (AODD) pump technology. The pump manufacturer was recently recognized with the 2014 Innovation Award by Flow Control Magazine for its Pro-Flo SHIFT Air Distribution System (ADS). The award is distributed to new technologies in flow control and movement that contribute to the industry as whole.

“We are very honored that the Pro-Flo SHIFT was selected as one of the Flow Control 2014 Innovation Award winners,” says Chris Distaso, Director of Engineering, Wilden. “This award is just one of many recognitions that the Wilden Pro-Flo SHIFT has received since it was introduced in June 2013, proving that the Pro-Flo SHIFT truly does represent a giant leap forward in the energy efficiency and performance of AODD pumps.”

The Wilden Pro-Flo SHIFT features a revolutionary design that allows Wilden AODD pumps to achieve up to a 60% energy savings in air consumption over all competitive technologies while still delivering more product yield per standard cubic foot per minute (SCFM) of air used.

Despite dramatically improving energy efficiency and costs for the end user, the Wilden Pro-Flo SHIFT is 50% less expensive than an electronically actuated ADS, is submersible, and requires zero training to use. In addition, it is ATEX compliant for use in potentially explosive environments and features a robust design that makes it ideal for use in harsh operating conditions. The Pro-Flo SHIFT also has very few operating parts which equates to less downtime and easier maintenance for the end user.

As a recipient of this award, the Pro-Flo SHIFT will be featured in the October issue of Flow Control Magazine.
