Wilo Polska is a subsidiary of Wilo SE, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of pumps and pump systems for heating, cooling, air conditioning, sanitary systems, and systems for municipal applications. On June 20, Wilo Polska opened a new office and warehouse facility in Lesznowola, Poland –an investment worth PLN 20 million.

Over 200 guests attended the opening celebration, including Jan Opländer, a member of Wilo’s founding family; Eric Lachambre, the COO at WILO SE; and Maria Jolanta Batycka-Wąski, the Lesznowola Commune Head. Several representatives from trade media, local authorities, and Wilo business partners were also present.

Jarosław Stachurski, Wilo Polska Board President, made the following remarks: “It was exactly a year ago when we laid the cornerstone for our new facility in Lesznowola. The investment was completed on schedule and there is still a whiff of its freshness in the air. What delights my eye is the modern construction and the excellent functionality. What delights my heart, however, is that this constitutes a further important step in the dynamic development of Wilo in Poland and, simultaneously, a very important commitment for the future. This has been possible thanks to all of you – our Clients and business partners – and I want to say a heartfelt thank you.”

In the spirit of cooperation, guests toasted the occasion by raising 300 champagne glasses tied together with a single 300-meter-long ribbon. Fittingly, the new facility is located at Jedności 5 street, which translates to “unity.”

Guests enjoyed several attractions during the celebration, including a custom light show and music and modern dance paired with the premiere multimedia show of 3D large format graphics in 3D mapping technology on the new building’s facade. They also had the opportunity to tour the new facility with Wilo employees and learn about technological and logistical solutions in the service area, testing for control and measurement of clean water pumps and submersible pumps, and the training room, which allows pumps to be tested in working scenarios.

The exterior of the building was constructed with 106,000 kg of steel, 550 sq. m. of facade glass, 480 sq. m. of facade lining, and more than 1000 cubic meters of construction concrete. Inside, the building is composed of 26,500 meters of cables and conductors, 10,000 meters of various pipelines, and 74 decentralized Geniax pumps. The new facility is the first building in Poland to be equipped with the Genial system, which allows the amount of heat supplied to a particular room at a particular time to be easily adjusted, resulting in energy-savings of up to 20 percent.

As is custom at all Wilo facilities around the world, this building includes a round water circulation fountain out front with a diameter of 1872 to commemorate the year Wilo was founded. A pine tree also stands at the front of the building, representing Wilo’s “Gift for the Earth” eco-campaign, through which the company has planted nearly 30,000 trees over the past 3 years.
