Xylem is a global leader in fluid technology and equipment with a presence in more than 150 countries around the world. At the 2014 Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigerating Exposition (AHR Expo) in New York City, the pump manufacturer debuted its line of energy-efficient pumps for HVAC and plumbing applications. The show took place from January 21-23 and featured more than 1,900 exhibiting companies.

The company redesigned its high-performing Bell & Gossett brand Series 1510 end-suction pump (now e-1510) to provide the highest overall efficiency for HVAC and plumbing applications. The Series e-1510 has higher pump performance than other similar products while also reducing electricity consumption and lowering lifecycle costs.

“Business owners are increasingly turning to efficient building operations to lower their energy costs and environmental impact,” says Ken Napolitano, president of Xylem’s Applied Water Systems business. “These new products underscore Xylem’s commitment to our customers’ – and the industry’s – need for system solutions that reduce overall cost of ownership, lower energy and operational costs, and support sustainability efforts.”

The e-1510 enables uses to maintain significantly higher levels of efficiency over a broad range of operating condition. This leap in efficiency is the result of innovative computational fluid dynamics (CFD) design technology, deep hydraulic engineering expertise and Xylem’s experience and knowledge of HVAC and plumbing applications.

At the 2014 AHR Expo, Xylem also introduced its Bell & Gossett brand ecocirc XL large wet rotor circulator pumps. These pumps utilize cutting-edge hydraulic performance, advanced motor design and smart communications capabilities to improve operations and deliver efficient performance in commercial heating and cooling systems, domestic hot water systems, solar-thermal systems and ground source heat pumps.
