Product Information

Boerger has been making rotary lobe pumps for more than 20 years. With a wide range of 19 pump sizes (rated capacity up to 1,000 m³/h (4,400 usgpm/h), a large selection of equipment and additional parts, Boerger is able to build rotary lobe pumps which are perfectly suited to every single application.

Boerger Rotary Lobe Pumps are self-priming, valveless, positive displacement pumps.

Boerger Rotary Lobe Pump

The even rotation of the rotor pair creates a vacuum on the priming side of the pump, which can be defined by the direction of rotation of the drive. This vacuum draws the liquid into the pump chamber. With further rotation, the pumped medium is conveyed past the pump wall into the pressure area. Up to six chamber charges are displaced with each drive rotation– depending on the rotor type. When the rotor is at a standstill, the pump seals off almost completely.

- Pump output up to 1,000 m³/h (4400 usgpm/h)

- Pump head - type-specific - max. 120 m (394 in.)

Boerger offers three product lines: Classic, Select and Protect, offer an appropriate shaft seal for each application.

- Boerger Classic Rotary Lobe Pump product line

The Boerger Classic Rotary Lobe Pump product line has been well-proven for many years now and is the basic model of our rotary lobe pumps. The Boerger Rotary Lobe Pump design from the eighties is the original model in our product line.

The AL, PL, CL, FL, EL and XL series convey pumped volumes of 1 – 1,000 m³/h (4.4 - 4,400 usgpm). Getting the right pump size depends on the purpose of the application, the installation site and the special characteristics of the pumped medium. We provide you with comprehensive and professional support.

Boerger Select Rotary Lobe Pump product line

The Boerger Select Rotary Lobe Pump product line is based on the benefits of the Classic series. Again, getting the right pump depends on the operating conditions, the installation site and the characteristics of the pumped medium. The customized rotary lobe pump is configured by selecting from the entire series and pump sizes, different shaft seals as well as the drive.

Boerger Protect Rotary Lobe Pump product line

The professional among the Boerger Rotary Lobe Pumps, the Protect line offers the greatest reliability of mechanical seals for difficult pumping media. The synchronous gearboxes with reduced axial play are spatially separated from the pump chamber. In the open space there are double-acting mechanical seals, which are kept under pressure. This is done for instance, with a thermosyphon system.

Whatever the requirement – Boerger can build the perfect rotary lobe pump for you.

This is because each Boerger pump is a customized solution. Boerger is unrivaled in its selection and variety of material. But the pump is also completely designed to meet the specific requirements of the application. Whether it is with mounted drive, as a submersible model or as a mobile pump on a tanker truck, the Boerger Rotary Lobe Pump is as unique as your requirements
