Transfer and Circulating Pumps

VARNA offers its XD-4 and XD-9 line of transfer and circulating pumps.

The XD-4 Oil Pump has been added to the VARNA line to fill the needs of our customers looking for the solid construction and concise design of our prelube line but optimized for wider applications.

The pump includes an integrated, direct coupled permanent motor and has capacity up to 4gpm (15 L/m) with pressures up to 60psi (4 bar). The pump features the Whisper-Vane positive displacement vane technology and is designed for transfer and circulating applications.

While the XD-4 pumping performance is very similar to its sister the EP-4, all running surfaces employ more durable materials to endow it with far greater life in non motor oil applications where good fluid lubricity is not a given.

In addition, to being durable in continues duty applications with harsh, poor lubricity fluids, it is a self-priming and quiet-running vane pump. It is ideal in a wide variety of transfer and circulating applications with non-corrosive fluids such as oils, fuels and coolants. Built with long term industrial applications in mind, it can produce over 60 psi pressure at nominal voltages of 12 thru 24vdc. It performs well with high viscosity fluids down to very cold temperatures. As a positive displacement pump it will self prime and is more efficient and quiet than a gear pump.

VARNA XD-4 Transfer and Circulating Pump

The XD-9 transfer and circulating pump is a quiet-running 9GPM vane pump for use with poor lubricity or low film strength fluids. The pump is ideal in a wide variety of transfer and circulating applications with non-corrosive fluids such as oils, fuels and coolants. Built with long term industrial applications in mind, it can produce up to 100 psi (6.9 Bar) pressure. It performs well with high viscosity fluids down to very cold temperatures. As a positive displacement pump it will self prime and it is more efficient and quieter than a gear pump.

The pump is available in several wetted materials including Rubber Viton V884, Black-Oxided Steel, Anodized Aluminum 6061-T6, and Phosphatized Steel 12L14.

Low Flow Gear Pumps

VARNA's TG-300 model is a variable speed low flow gear pump. The TG-300 designed for smooth continuous flows from 0-to-400 ml/min (0-to-5 gal/hour), viscosity range of 30 cSt to 600 cSt, for fluids compatible with aluminum, steel viton and teflon wetted materials powered by a 1/10 hp, 24VDC brushless motor with integral drive electronics.

The compact TG-300 low-flow pump solution is perfect for a variety of applications, such as metering, dosing, bottling, medical, chemical, and many more!

Prelube Pumps

VARNA offers two specialized prelube pumps, the CF-15 and the EP-4.

The EP-4 pump is for DC installations requiring up to 4 GPM (15 LPM). EP-4 pumps can run on 12vdc or 24vdc and are a great choice for engines in the 400 to 3000 hp range.

VARNA EP-4 Prelube Pump

The CF-15 pumps are for installations requiring up to 15 GPM (56.8 LPM). CF-15 Pumps can be run from any 56 C-face motor. They are suitable for engines from 1000 to 4500 hp.

VARNA CF-15 Prelube Pump

Anyone installing or rebuilding a large engine should consider a prelube system. A substantial part of large engine lifetime wear ocurrs at dry starts after the lube oil has drained from the bearings and the oil galleries during shutdown. An upfront investment in a prelube system can pay for itself many times over by greatly extending an engine's service life.

Pump Controls

Over the years, VARNA products has developed a number of controls for pump applications. Some are specials for a customer that needs something applicable only to them, but most are useful for a wide range of applications. We are now offering these controls to everyone that needs a refined pump control solution with more to come in the future.

Our philosophy with these controls is that designing a control takes a lot of work and specialty knowledge to do right. So if we do it, the design only has to be done once. If each end user has to design their own and the total work is multiplied. By trying to commoditize these controls we hope to save our customers money on development and provide them with a system that is ultimately more reliable and optimized to a degree that would be hard to achieve in the field.

Designing a circuit that will tolerate harsh industrial and marine electrical environments takes careful engineering. Specifying all the right parts and having it all made to fit right and work right takes special skills and tools.

Company Information

VARNA products is a division of Transportation Research Corp. (TRC). We were created to bring the manufacturing of TRC designs under tight in-house control. Our focus has always been on consistency and product quality. Using six Sigma methodologies we continually refine our processes to optimize quality and perfect on-time delivery. By controlling every phase of manufacturing from how components are machined to assembly training, all the way to the packaging used in shipping, we are able to guarantee the quality of each item we sell. We deal only with a select group of pre-qualified vendors for the parts we do not make and all assembly and final inspection is done right here.

VARNA is the ideal supplier to go with the ideal product solutions our parent company develops.
